Your saved data

Everything the calculators remember lives in this browser, on this device. Here's all of it, with a way to name it, move it, or throw it out.

Nothing here goes to a server

There's no account and no server copy. This page reads your browser's local storage and writes files your browser downloads. Another browser, another device, or a private window won't see any of it unless you export a file and import it there. Clearing this site's data in your browser settings deletes it all, and so does the reset button below.

What's saved in this browser

A calculator saves only after you turn on its "Save inputs" or "Save profile" toggle. Rows marked Personal can hold your income, debts, or account balances.

Scenarios

A scenario is a named copy of everything saved above, like "Astoria co-op, 20% down" or "Brooklyn rent with a guarantor". Save one, change the calculators, save another, and switch between them here. Loading a scenario replaces what the calculators have saved now. Up to 20.

    No scenarios yet.

    Compare two scenarios

Pick two, and see what each one can afford side by side: rent, co-op, and condo. It's the same math as Compare rent, co-op, condo and My NYC Plan, run on each scenario's saved profile and assumptions. Anything a scenario didn't save uses the site default, and is marked default.

Save a scenario above to compare it with what's saved now.

    Export and import

Export downloads one JSON file with your saved inputs and scenarios. Import it on another browser or device to pick up where you left off. The file is plain text with your income and balances in it, so keep it somewhere you'd keep a bank statement.

Import also accepts the "Download my saved data" file from the old nyc-co-op-affordability.com address.

    Delete everything

Removes every calculator input, the shared profile, and every scenario this site saved in this browser. It doesn't touch other sites. Export first if you might want it back.

    Fine print

The full list of storage keys and what each one is for is also on the privacy page. Shared result links and share text never include balances or other saved inputs.

Saved scenarios are your own numbers run through the site's calculators. They're estimates, not advice, and they don't update themselves when rates or prices move. Open the calculator again to see the current math.
